Andrew Guenther is a Principal Software Engineer at San Francisco based hyperspectral satellite imaging and intelligence company, Orbital Sidekick (OSK). Orbital Sidekick is building the most advanced commercially available remote sensing and intelligence platform with a core focus on Energy and Security. With three satellites in orbit and two more launching in Q1 2024, OSK monitors more than 20,000 miles of pipeline a month, providing leak detection and intrusion alerts to its Fortune 100 energy customers.
At OSK, Andrew leads the development of the company’s imagery APIs, data processing pipeline, and most recently an exploration into the LLM space. As a certified Professional Solutions Architect, Andrew has been accelerating cloud transformation and innovation at several companies for over a decade. Before OSK, he spent seven years working at Amazon Web Services (AWS) launching services that have allowed thousands of customers to transform their cloud infrastructure. He is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a M.S. in Computer Science and a research focus in distributed systems.
