Brooke Stokes, Partner
McKinsey & Company

Brooke is a Partner in McKinsey’s Aerospace & Defense practice, supporting clients on space and defense engagements.  She leads the firm’s Space practice, working with established companies, disruptors, and investors.  Her focus is on growth strategy, innovation, and transactions related work, supporting clients on topics such as go-to-market strategies, market sizing, strategic portfolio reviews, ecosystem market scans, equity story development, and market diligences.

Brooke’s most recent work includes leading market evaluation and growth efforts with disruptive space companies, spanning space technology areas.  She has also worked closely with multiple investors in the sector.

In addition to her client engagements, Brooke has co-led McKinsey’s space knowledge partnerships, including collaborations with the Aerospace Industries Association and the World Economic Forum.  She is currently leading McKinsey’s knowledge partnership with the World Economic Forum, having recently published a report on the outlook for the space sector and satellite-enabled applications across industries.  She has also spoken at industry events and in the media on space industry dynamics, in addition to serving as a mentor to early-stage space companies via the Creative Destruction Lab incubator program.

Her published work covers topics such as space investment funding trends, satellite constellation performance analysis, the role of space in global priorities, and industry R&D funding analysis.

Brooke’s background prior to McKinsey is in finance and business economics, and included work with a boutique financial and economic analysis firm, where she worked closely with leading economists on complex analysis of financial markets.  She is a graduate of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pennsylvania Law School, as well as Bucknell University.
